LASSO-CACTI Deep Convection Scenario
The LASSO-CACTI scenario focuses on deep convection during the Cloud, Aerosol, and Complex Interactions (CACTI) field campaign during 2018–2019 in Argentina. In particular, the library of cloud simulations focuses on days selected from CACTI that exhibit convective initiation near the ARM Mobile Facility site with subsequent advection of the convection within visibility of ARM’s radar network.
LASSO data bundles integrate ARM observations of shallow convection at the Southern Great Plains facility with large-eddy simulations to facilitate related research. Data bundles are available spanning 4 shallow-convection seasons.
JupyterHub makes notebook-based computational environments and supporting resources available to users. Users are able to analyze ARM data using individual or shared workspaces.
